Nothing to Fear
as i'm as good as the best
as strong as the mightiest too
- hahaha -
In just the measure i give
there's nothing too good for me to possess
there's no heights where i cannot go
the power is more than belief or guess

setting foot on the highest hill
there's nothing i cannot do

waking up to the shivers resulted from the storm from the night
i was all geared up with my running kit and gym bag
just when everyone's sound asleep in bed
i made my way to the marina area to meet my dearest ngia
we are both gamed up for the run which we were in fear of just days ago
it was our virgin 10km run and the crowd made me feel like it's the run of the century, sort of
close to 50,000 runners covered the streets where vehicles all slowed down to take a glance
seeing tonnes of running enthusiasts by our side, we felt really motivated
just at the starting line, getting all ready, i felt like i was in ZOUK
the irony is, i hate places like zouk, but i enjoyed the moments today
the adrenaline rush came from the pumping hype music that kept me awake
we were screaming, clapping, chtting while queuing at the start line

the race kicked off and at the 1km mark, i told ngia about it and she commented:
为何要这样 remind 我们
hahaha, i was pissed as well coz i thought we had ran quite a distance

just when i was about to "punk chek", i thot i should persevere more coz it's coming to an end
guess what, it reads 5km
@#$% @#$%
as much as i tried nt to be demoralize, i seriously am
- hahaha -
despite all, we MADE it, we FINISHED it
- hoooooooooraaaaaaaaaay -
guess what ngia said:
let's try for half marathon next year

but come to think of it, y not
it's possible as nike human race, great eastern and many more are in line for us nxt yr

serioulsy, i know myself well enough
this race is impossible without one person
this race is impossible if she wasnt there to spur me on
this race is impossible if she did nt slow dwn her personal pace to follow mine
this person is none other than my dearest ngia
it's really bcoz of you that i managed to go further than what i am capable of
it's really bcoz of you that i managed to attain a goal that i set upon
it's really bcoz of you that i managed to be proud of myself and don on the medal
the selfless you gave me hope
i love you ngia

What is it that stimulates the mind or emotions to a high level of feeling or activity and arouses the individual to action toward a desired goal?
i believed it's how much u really want it
