~ Cambodian Dragon Boat Race Mishap ~
a near glorious victory that faded

Usually when such tragedy strikes, the reaction sets in later

Families of the Singapore rowers

- visibly distressed and distraught -

Dread became grief

as they grappled with their loss

and asked how the tragedy happened

All were passionate and avid sportsmen

One even gave up an engineering career to pursue his love for sports

The never-dying team spirit kept them going

Striving their very best in glory of everyone

Losing someone or something you love is very painful

and it’s something that almost everyone will experience at some point in their lives

Healing the souls of the disheartened

Do not stand at my grave and weep

I am not there; I do not sleep.

I am a thousand winds that blow,

I am the diamond glints on snow,

I am the sun on ripened grain,

I am the gentle autumn rain.

When you awaken in the morning's hush

I am the swift uplifting rush

Of quiet birds in circled flight.
